Fall is in full swing! The leaves are turning beautiful colors, the temperatures are getting cooler, and the days seem a little shorter. While nature is slowing down, All Souls is doing everything but!
November brings us the annual Food Collection Drive! We are now collecting items for our November 20th donation sorting and bag filling event after service in Pierce Hall. You can visit this page of our website to learn more.
We are back in person this year, and we have adjusted how and what we collect to better meet the needs of the people receiving the donations, and to make the food drive accessible to our congregation, near and far! We’ve created an Amazon wishlist, are accepting in person donations and shipped donations, and we’re able to take monetary donations.
This coming Saturday, November 5 is our Bicentennial Anniversary Party: Dancing Through the Decades! And amazing news – WE SOLD OUT! We sold 200 tickets for this event, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!
It felt like this celebration was never going to happen after having been cancelled and rescheduled and rescheduled again…but the community of All Souls has resoundingly said that we can make it happen! A huge thank you to all those involved in the planning of this event: Kerry Reichs, Shari Gilbert, Julia Washburn, Rev. Rob Keithan, Rose Eaton, and others!
November 6, this Sunday, will see us wrapping up the Funding Our Future Campaign. We are well on our way to our goal of $400,000! We hope All Souls is still a special place to you, and that you’ll consider making or increasing your pledge today. We’re just under 85% of our goal of $400,000 and every person’s participation is important. We are strongest together, and as we move into our next 200 years and search for our next called ministry, your participation becomes invaluable. Please click this link to show your support of All Souls and make or increase a pledge today!
We are making a fast pivot/simultaneous effort into our annual toy collection for La Clinica del Pueblo! La Clinica del Pueblo’s Posada will be on held December 10th this year, which means our annual toy collection is starting early. November 14th to be exact.
La Clinica also made toy donations more accessible through an online shipping and delivery option. Or you may bring an UNWRAPPED toy to the church. The last date to drop toys off is the morning of December 9th! Donation bins will be in the lobby and by the 16th Street doors (inside) beginning November 14.
Then comes Thanksgiving – and the building will be closed November 24-26 so staff may enjoy the holiday with their loved ones.
Following that, we’ve reached December! We will have an assortment of family favorite events throughout the month. Visit this page to learn more!
