Healing Space for Federal Employees
What happened at the nation’s Capitol a week ago today created trauma for our nation. However, what is unique about living in DC is that the rooms seen in images from the Capitol building which are vaguely familiar to tourists or visitors are intimately known by those who live by and/or work for the House, the Senate, and the various departments of the Federal Government. To have these spaces invaded and desecrated by those who have no respect for democracy, feels like a violation.
Rev. Louise & Rev. Kathleen invite everyone, but especially those who have been most impacted by this violation because of your work on the Hill. We will create some time all together for meditation, reflection, prayer, and then will create one breakout room for those who may want to be with others who know these spaces intimately and another for those who wish to process their feelings of last week and concerns about the week ahead.
