Anti-Racism for White People
This offering is part of the Core Connections curriculum.
Monday, March 11, 18, 25, and April 1, 2024 | 7:00 – 9:00 pm | Zoom
Facilitators: Bob Wittig, Emily Hogan, and Rev. Rob Keithan
Our collective work for racial justice calls people with different identities to engage in different ways, and communities of color have specifically asked White people to take responsibility for their own education. This course creates a caring and supportive environment to help White people at All Souls cultivate self-awareness, learn critical mindsets and skills, and develop relationships with other White people for mutual accountability – all in service of racial justice transformation!

Testimonies from recent course participants:
+ This UU learning space was a supportive way to explore the complexity of being white and anti-racist, a brave space while not always a comfortable space. The course incorporated both the intellectual and emotional challenges of white supremacy and adopting an anti-racist mindset. The reflections helped me define ways to practice anti-racist action in my everyday life, professionally and personally, within and outside of the UU community.
+ Great to have a straightforward intro class that comes from a spiritual perspective.
+ I needed this class. While travel prevented my full participation, the discussions were genuine, the readings were on-target, and the facilitation by Rob, Emily, and Bob was excellent.
