The All Souls Annual Meeting is Sunday, June 1, after service in person and online. We encourage everyone to come prepared, so we can make the best use of everyone’s time and be ready for a good discussion and decision-making process. Please (1) if needed, confirm your membership and voting status (2) review the materials in advance of the meeting, and (3) consider attending the orientation session or the session for feedback on motions.
Here’s more details on all of these items:
- Confirm your membership and voting status, if needed. Those who have joined the church and have made a contribution of record in the last 15 months are eligible to vote. If you have any questions about your status, please contact Lea at membershipsecretary(at)allsouls.ws.
- Review all of the information in advance. The agenda and background materials, including the proposed budget, the nominees for Trustee, Officer and Leadership Development and Nominating Committee, and the Annual Report, will be posted by June 18 and available for review on the Annual Meeting calendar event page. You can also find them on the Board of Trustees page.
- Attend an orientation or a feedback on motions session, if helpful. The Moderator and President of the Board will be hosting two hybrid sessions after service the next two Sundays to help with preparation:
- An orientation to the annual meeting on Sunday, May 18 at 12:15 pm. This session is particularly helpful for new members, but all are welcome who would like to learn more about the candidates and other agenda items planned, and get an overview or refresher on meeting procedures.
- A feedback session for proposers of motions on Sunday, May 25, at 12:15 pm. This session is designed to help members who plan to propose motions, including amendments to the budget. We will help you understand if your motion is in order and able to be made, or what changes are needed to put it into order, and also how time limits will work and the plan for discussion.
All motions submitted in writing by Monday, May 26 that are in order will be allocated time on the agenda. Any motion not submitted by this deadline will only be considered as time allows.
