Weekly Guided Phone Bank: North Carolina Pledge to Vote

Every Tuesday Through August from 6-8 PM

These weekly events are part of an ongoing, sophisticated, locally driven get-out-the-vote campaign!

We are calling Black voters in North Carolina with The Center for Common Ground, following up on postcards we sent in the spring, encouraging the people of Mecklenburg County to vote, providing resources that make it easy to check where they are registered, and asking them to get their friends and family involved.

Please email ReebVotingRights@allsouls.ws with
the number of messages you left and people you spoke with.

Why Focus on Mecklenburg County, NC?

Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte have seen low voter turnout in the Black community for several years. Voter suppression is the culprit. To reverse this negative trend, we are supporting a coalition of Black activists and faith groups called Team Unity NC.

A Multi-Faceted Campaign to Get Out the Vote!

After sending postcards in the spring, we are now calling to drive voters to the campaign’s website, where they pledge to “Vote and Do More.” Our messages help to empower voters to
become activists – who vote, canvas, drive people to the polls, and get family and friends to do the same. Later in the fall, we will resume postcarding to the County.

Phone Banking is Crucial to This Campaign!

Phone banking has proven an effective way to engage voters. The more phone banking you do, the better it gets. So please make it a regular appointment.

Will you sign up for these North Carolina Phone Banks–every Tuesday!!!
