Capital Pride Interfaith Service – World Pride Edition!

Fabric of Freedom: Woven with Faith and Power

We are hosting the Interfaith Service for World Pride this year!

Join us for the 42nd anniversary of our local LGBTQ+ community celebration of religious pluralism and interfaith collaboration! The Capital Pride Interfaith Service is a community-based worship that respectfully demonstrates the breadth, depth, and sincerity of our faith, countering misconceptions that anti-gay fundamentalists have a monopoly on faith and religion. We take pride that our community expresses itself in myriad ways, each sacred and revered with years of tradition. Founded during the era of the Names Project AIDS memorial quilts, we continue to connect and weave many LGBTQ+ faith communities.

Please note that for security purposes there will be a bag check. We encourage attendees to bring no bags or small bags only, though no one will be turned away due to your… baggage. Doors open at 6:00 pm; service 7:00-8:30 pm; light reception to follow afterwards.

Many volunteers are needed to help provide a warm welcome and hospitality! Please sign-up here if you’re able to help.
