Congregational Care – Week of 10/02/2022

As we gather back into a dynamic church year, we are rebuilding systems of Congregational Care. Please consider a small role – making phone calls to congregants, writing cards, or being matched with a situation to help support. Contact Rev. Louise to volunteer.

If you have a joy or concern you want in the newsletter or in a Sunday service, or wish to speak to a minister, write to our confidential email: CongCare@allsouls.ws

Esther Strongman is recovering well from knee surgery on September 20 . We are thinking of her and husband John and sending good wishes and prayers for recovery as the rehab continues.

Our hearts go out to Chuck Wooldridge, whose mother Juanita died this September 22 in Kentucky. Chuck lost his father in late 2021, so we send him and his extended family our love and support as they navigate another significant loss.

Jean Lanxner, a constant figure in the choir at All Souls during the 70s and early 80s, passed away peacefully at home on June 26 at age 94. The musical celebration of her life was recorded on September 24 at UU Silver Spring. Condolences to daughter Kate Lanxner, an All Souls member.

The Celebration of Life for long-time member Adenia Taylor will take place on Friday, October 7, at 1 pm here in the Sanctuary. The Zoom link, and the requested registration for the repast meal, are on the ASC website Calendar. Please register for the meal for by October 3.
