Congregational Care – Week of 01/08/2023

We wish Cynthia Durham good healing and rehab after hip replacement surgery. She is recovering at home and appreciates prayers and cards from All Souls.

We send love to All Souls community member Brian Schwartz and partner Shen Sowash, whose home was made uninhabitable by a frozen pipe that burst on Christmas Day. They are currently living in a hotel, and All Souls friends have organized a GoFundMe to help with housing and food costs.

Condolences to Liz Goetz, whose mother Alice Goetz O’Neill died at home in Delaware, on December 15 at age 95. We send love to Liz and her partner Kelly Visconti in this time of loss and transition.

Our hearts are with member Ben Kreider on two challenging family situations: His sister has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will begin treatment soon. His cousin in his 40’s died suddenly of cardiac arrest and is survived by his wife and two young children. We send prayers for this difficult time of loss and challenge, to Ben and extended family.

Congratulations to new member Donna Welton, who has been nominated by the White House to be the ambassador to Timor-Leste, in Southeast Asia. While the Senate still needs to confirm, Donna says she is excited to take an All Souls spirit to the diplomacy and development work ahead.
