In honor of our musical guests on June 1, 2025, we shared the plate with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC. Since 1981, they have been singing to inspire equality and inclusion with musical performances and education promoting justice and dignity for all. In February, the Kennedy Center cancelled the performance they had scheduled as part of WorldPride DC. We’re grateful to welcome one of their ensembles today, and encourage you to give as generously as you can to support this voice of LGBTQ equality.

Asian American LEAD

In May, we honor Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Our share-the-plate recipient is Asian American LEAD. Founded in 1998 by Sandy Dang to support Vietnamese refugee and immigrant youth, AALEAD empowers underserved Asian American Pacific Islander young people across DC, Maryland, and Virginia with educational support, identity development, and leadership programs.

Dreaming Out Loud

In April, we share the plate with Dreaming Out Loud, an organization rebuilding urban, community-based food systems through cooperative social enterprise; increasing access to healthy food, improving community health, supporting entrepreneurs and cooperatives from low-income communities; and creating opportunities for at-risk residents to earn sustainable, family-supporting wages and build wealth.
