The Transient and Permanent in Unitarian Universalism: Upcoming Changes to Our Principles

The biggest decision on the agenda for the upcoming Unitarian Universalist Association General Assembly (which is all virtual from June 20-23) is a second and likely final vote on new text describing UU beliefs and values. This new language, contained in Article II of the UUA Bylaws, would replace the current Principles. Read this leadership letter from Rev. Keithan to learn more about this important process and upcoming vote. And mark your calendars: next year's General Assembly is June 18-22, 2025, in Baltimore!

All Souls Welcomes a New Afghan Family

A year ago, generous members of this congregation helped the family of Mohammad Monir Karimi settle into an apartment in Falls Church, Va. Recently, Monir's brother Mukhtar journeyed here with his wife and three kids after a 2-year wait for visas. Like Monir, Mukhtar had worked for a contractor supporting the U.S. military in Afghanistan. The new arrivals will need cash, furniture, and a variety of household goods.
