A Survey from the Ministerial Search Committee

A circle of multiracial hands holding the words Ministerial Search

Hello, everyone,

My name is Gregory Ford, and I am a member of the All Souls Church Ministerial Search Committee.

Our search for new ministerial leadership begins in earnest this month with three events we want you to be aware of and participate in.

Those events are: the Congregational Survey, the Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop, and small group discussions we are calling “Congregational Conversations.”

Beginning Sunday, September 25, The Ministerial Search Committee will be asking you to respond to The All Souls Congregational Survey.

The information we collect in the Congregational Survey will give us a picture of who All Souls is and what we are seeking from our new ministerial leadership.

This survey is different than the demographic survey you recently received. Your responses will be part of the package that will be made available to those who are considering applying to All Souls to be part of our ministerial leadership.

The Survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete online and is totally confidential. We request that you complete The Survey as soon as possible, preferably within the next two weeks. Your email is required to answer online but will not be linked to your responses, which will be anonymous.

Please take the survey here: https://forms.gle/w656gXpuDRFRVcJ8A

If you prefer not to use a computer, give us a call at (202) 210-3270 and we’ll connect you to a volunteer who will take your responses to the survey by phone.

Additionally, during the month of October the Ministerial Search Committee will hold Congregational Conversations. During these Conversations you will have the chance to hear from and share with your fellow congregants and the Search Committee about your concerns and dreams for this next part of All Souls’ journey.

You can participate in these conversations either in-person or in a zoom format.

The Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop (or BCT) is intended to help us to look at and hopefully move beyond some of the assumptions we might be making while we are thinking about what is possible for new ministerial leadership.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for lending your voice to this important effort to find our next ministerial leadership.

Gregory
