DC Statehood

Text banking

We have concluded our text banking efforts for this election cycle. Your dedicated participation this year has gotten us 132,682 voters texted in battleground states. We got in good trouble with the help of organizations like the Poor Peoples Campaign and the Center for Common Ground. Thank you!

Phone Banking

We have concluded our phone banking efforts for this election cycle. Your dedicated participation this year has gotten us to 17,655 voters dialed in battleground states including Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Texas. Phone banking parties at All Souls were a big reason for our success. Thanks to everyone who showed up. A special thanks to Eva Newbold, Brenda Barron, and Laura Merril for organizing and leading our community in this important out reach strategy.

Door-to-Door Canvassing

We have concluded our canvassing efforts for this election cycle. Many of you traveled all over to reach voters in crucial states like North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Many of you went multiple times. Thank you for your commitment to spreading democracy and reaching out to voters on the most personal level.

Post carding

We have concluded our postcard campaigns for this election cycle. Your joyful postcarding efforts this year have powered us to
reach nearly 35,000 registered voters in battleground states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Approximately 500 people addressed, decorated, and mailed cards with us in 2024.  Groups attending forty
postcard parties created 5,382 cards. Thanks to 24 team captains who kept us on track, and special thanks to Sarah Stockton for leading this monumental effort.

Thanks!

Poll Working

Poll workers fill a vital role in our communities, ensuring that polling locations are sufficiently staffed and the nuts and bolts of election day go as smoothly as possible.  Go to UU THE VOTE’s Power The Polls resource page, fill out the form, and learn how to be a poll worker in your city or county!

Voter Registration

Join our partner, the League of Women Voters (LWV), in registering new voters.

If you are new to registering voters, when you register for one of the events you will see a link to watch the 30 minute LWV voter registration training. It reinforces the non-partisan approach and gives suggestions for how to talk to voters. You will always be paired with an LWV member who will have all the materials needed.
