We Need Summer Pantry Volunteers!
A Pantry For All Souls, our Little Free Pantry on 15th Street, needs volunteers over the summer! Volunteer stewards visit the pantry 2-3 times per month to help keep the pantry clean and in working order–each visit only takes 10 minutes and the schedule is flexible. We need some extra volunteers over the summer to keep our schedule filled! Contact Maya Hermann at hermann.maya@icloud.com for more information.

Throw Your Hat in the Ring
The Leadership Development and Nominating Committee has just a few weeks left to produce a slate of leadership candidates for the 2025-26 church year. We’re striving for a slate of capable leaders who truly represent All Souls’ growing and diverse congregation and who will sustain our values of justice and equity, which are needed now more than ever.

Weekly Guided Phone Bank: North Carolina Pledge to Vote
Every Tuesday in August from 6-8 PM, we are calling Black voters in North Carolina with The Center for Common Ground, following-up on postcards we sent in the spring, encouraging the people of Mecklenburg County to vote, providing resources that make it easy to check where they are registered, and asking them to get their friends and family involved.
Interested in Justice-making Philanthropic Work? The Beckner Committee Would Love to Hear From You!
We would love to hear from you if you would like to learn more about the committee without the immediate objective of an application submission. Please feel free to be in touch with Ruth Goins, who staffs the committee, at ascu.beckner@gmail.comand she will connect you with a current member for follow up.
All Souls Welcomes a New Afghan Family
A year ago, generous members of this congregation helped the family of Mohammad Monir Karimi settle into an apartment in Falls Church, Va. Recently, Monir’s brother Mukhtar journeyed here with his wife and three kids after a 2-year wait for visas. Like Monir, Mukhtar had worked for a contractor supporting the U.S. military in Afghanistan. The new arrivals will need cash, furniture, and a variety of household goods.
