Women’s Suffrage Centennial Field Trip

Join the Suffragist Souls and Park Ranger Historian Loren Devore for a free guided tour of Belmont Paul Women’s Equality National Memorial, where the National Women’s Party worked to pass the 19th Amendment. In 2020, the centennial of women winning the right to vote, Suffragist Souls are honoring the women and men who worked over 70 years so women could participate in American democracy while also recognizing those who were left out, exploring gaps in the traditional women’s suffrage narrative, and recommitting to the important work toward equal rights for all. This trip is family friendly! Children will enjoy becoming Junior Suffragists through fun learning activities and adults can engage in meaningful dialogue about Women’s Suffrage, exploring ways to learn from our history and make change together for a better future. Please register for this event so we can get an accurate head count for the tour.
