Rev. Louise Green: Reflections after Pilgrimage – Water and Fire

On the day after Hiroshima Day, this service will reflect on the things which make for peace. The Rev George MacLeod in Iona, Scotland, and the Rev. A. Powell Davies in D.C, had immediate bold reactions to the U.S. atomic bomb drop of 1945. Their passionate writing impacted several generations, and still reverberates now. We must cultivate both the calm waters of peaceful action, and the fire of commitment, to move boldly for justice imperatives.

Join us for this ASL interpreted service that will feature some amazing music! After service, join us in Pierce Hall for socially distanced fellowship or online via the same link as worship. Then, in the afternoon, check Facebook for the day’s #ASCProvocativeQuestion and post your thoughts to start a discussion related to the sermon.
