Biography

A self-described “professional distributer of band aids,” Rose has made a career out of problem solving and logical planning over a variety of fields. She has done a little bit of everything – communications security analysis in the Marines, retail management, professional photography, nonprofit management, and volunteer administration – all of which culminates in a top-notch administrator and event planner. Despite a dislike of hats, Rose wears a lot of them. She is a Red Cross instructor, a DC licensed food protection manager, and a certified volunteer administrator. New experiences are a high priority, and Rose tries to learn at least one new skill or take up one new hobby each year. Volunteerism is something Rose advocates for. She was the volunteer executive director of a LGBTQIA+ support organization for youth ages 12-24 in her home state of New Hampshire, and a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Honolulu. When the opportunity presents itself, Rose enjoys traveling and has adventured to 48 out of 50 states (feel free to ask which two she’s currently missing!). Her goal in life is to visit every National Park in the US at least once, and to raft the river in the Grand Canyon.
